IPL is suitable for all but the darkest skin tones. This is because the light energy may be more attracted to the dark pigments in the skin rather than the melanin in the hair. This is also the reason why IPL is not suitable to use over tattoos. Refer to the skin tone chart below to see if IPL is suitable for you.

How often should I use it?

Weeks 1 - 4: 3x per week

Weeks 5 - 8: 1x - 2x per week

Week 9+ / Maintenance: 1 - 2x per month. From time to time some upkeep may be needed if growth is still visible.

Are the results permanent?

- Our Handset offers extremely long lasting results however no form of laser hair removal is truly permanent, even those at the clinics. Just be careful when companies claim “permanent” hair removal, as this term technically means that there will be no regrowth of hair for 6 months. To maintain long-term results we advise using our Handset once a week for 8 weeks, then just once every few months for maintenance.

How long before I see results?

- Most users start to see a reduction of hair in just 2-3 treatments using our handset, with complete results after 9 treatments. However, results can vary from person to person.

How long will the handset last?

- Our IPL Max has 999,999 flashes for virtually unlimited lifetime use.

Which areas of my body can I use this on?

- The IPL Max can be used for excess hair on body parts such as on the underarms, bikini area, legs, lips, face, arms, fingers, toes, back, chest, forehead and etc. except directly on the genitals, nipples, anus and top of the head.

What hair removal methods can I use in between sessions?

- Between your treatments you should only shave when required. We never recommend waxing, plucking, or epilating as these hair removal methods removes the entire root, which is what absorbs our handset's light during the treatment meaning it will delay the effects.

Is this safe to use over tattoos?

- No tattoos and moles must be avoided as it will make the skin sensitive and irritated, although going around tattoos is fine.

Is this safe for pregnant/lactating mothers?

- Although no evidence stating that IPL has negative effects on pregnant or breastfeeding women exists, we still cannot recommend using our handset if you are pregnant. However, it is known to be safe for breastfeeding mothers as long as you avoid the breast area as it can be quite sensitive.
